CITON was formed for the purpose of creating and administering property and casualty programs that protect our customers. Following the wind events of 2004, primary property and casualty carriers increased wind deductibles in primary insurance policies to a percentage of the insured primary property value, typically ranging from 2 – 10%, essentially shifting much of the exposure to the insured. Our initial program, the award-winning ZERO SELECT ©, is designed to eliminate the deductible for a specific catastrophic wind event on residential and commercial properties. ZERO SELECT © provides piggyback policy-deductible elimination coverage for insureds that have a primary property insurance policy.

Both commercial and residential property owners may be surprised by the wind damage exposure they are responsible for. ZERO SELECT © provides the catastrophic wind deductible coverage that removes this exposure, providing essential insurance Coverage In Time Of Need.

ZERO SELECT © can also be utilized along with a traditional buy-down, particularly in the case of very high deductibles. CITON will soon offer a traditional buy-down product that can be used in conjunction with ZERO SELECT © or in lieu of a total elimination of the wind deductible, as well as a primary insurance product with an anticipated launch in May 2010.
